CIGAR BOX BULLETIN Volume 54, No. 49 April 4, 2007 The school bell was rung promptly at 10:00 AM by President SAM MARASSO, followed by the Pledge led by JIM FAHY. MORRY HALOWELL led us in the Star Spangled Banner, Give My regards to Broadway, and Yankee Doodle Dandy. All this accompanied by BOB ALDEN. The bad news – other than the rainy weather – was that it was a $2.00 day! FRED BROOKS read the minutes from last weeks meeting and told of a famous divorce case. ANNOUNCEMENTS: NORM COLLINS issued an invitation for the Romeo lunch on April 25 at Greenwich Country Club. PETER SCHIEFERDECKER asked us to support the excellent Board of Nathaniel Witherell as they present a resolution to the RTM on April 9 which proposes that no decision on governance be addressed until after the “Project Renew Witherell” has been completed. His message was heard by all since this editor, a member of the RTM, was questioned by many at the break. Mr. GABELLI is the founder of Gabelli & Company, Inc. a $30 Billion dollar world wide asset management company.
