CIGAR BOX BULLETIN
Volume 55, No. 49 April 2, 2008
Pres RICHARD LIMBACHER opened this meeting at 9:30 AM, which was another of those , , , $2 days. LEON FREEMAN then led us in a resounding Pledge to the Flag. Song leader GRAN BURGESS, with MIKE HAUPTMAN'S nimble fingers supplying the requested keystrokes on a new fangled electronic device, followed that by bringing out the best performances from everyone in singing the Star Spangle Banner. The appropriate followup songs then were: April Showers and Take Me Out to the Ball Game. Then, BILL DYNAN, our esteemed double duty Secretary, started out by telling us that this weekend there is a very important national water polo event here at the Y's spanking new pool, out of which may come many of our Olympic players at that forthcoming event. He then gave us his usual fine verbal edition of last weeks CBB. He also told us about one of the trials and tribulations of an old hero of many of us, the Lone Ranger. Seems our hero had been captured by the Indians, and was told he faced execution in 3 days, however the chief granted him the privilege of releasing his horse to take away a spoken message, and to return. After this got repeated on the second day with again a lot of entertainment for his master, all we know is the horse didn't correctly understand his master's instructions, and has only one more day to get it right!
